Description
This Bourbon comes from the family estate located in the municipality of San Juan Sacatepéquez in Guatemala called Finca San José Ocaña. Proudly Guatemalan and managed by the Sanchez family for over a century. Growers and farmers for over 115 years, the farm reserves 150 acres for the cultivation of their delicious coffees, and dedicates the rest of its land, which measures a total of 260 acres, to the local fauna and flora to live in safety. This coffee producer has its mill where the selection, pulping and drying of the cherries is performed and where all technical processes are carried out. This producer is proud to be autonomous from the selection to the export of his coffee.
The Bourbon plants at Finca San José Ocaña are very old, one could almost believe that they are Typicas or the closest descendants of this very delicious variety. It offers an intriguing cup, dry and full-bodied. It is that one would believe squarely a red wine. But underneath that beautiful caramel color, there are juicy notes of peach nectar haunted by the final presence of honey that creates a beverage that is right up there with the best Bourbon it ever was.
