CoopeDota has a certified carbon-neutral mill, the first of its kind, which uses hydraulic energy, eco-pulpers (also known as demucilagers) with low water consumption, and mechanical coffee dryers powered by coffee parchment.
Close to 900 producer-members living in the canton of Dota, in the province of San José, Costa Rica, focus on managing their farms throughout the year, then deliver their cherries to the CoopeDota mill, where traceability and quality control are unmatched. CoopeDota has an equally complex income diversification model, with a profitable agricultural supply store and a tourist service that showcases coffee farms to visitors.
