Description
This coffee is produced by El Injerto, one of the most awarded farms in the Cup of Excellence Guatemala for the past 10 years (7 times in 1st place!)
This Geisha from Huehuetenango, Guatemala grew on the plateaus of the highest non-volcanic mountain in Central America, the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes. The exact origin of this grain is a beautiful story of friendship and mutual aid between two amazing coffee growers and friends. Aguirre Senior, the owner of El Injerto, received the seeds of this extraordinary coffee tree as a gift when he was visiting his good friend Peterson at Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama. This is the same coffee tree that won the Best of Panama award and put the Geisha variety on the map as a specialty coffee some years ago. You could say that El Injerto's Legendary Geisha is its child, and yes, with its sweet and fruity flavors, it is definitely as its name suggests, legendary!
