PROFILE AND BOTANICAL VARIETY

Caturra is a natural mutation of the Bourbon variety. It was discovered on a plantation in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1920. Caturra has a unique genetic mutation that causes the plant to become smaller (called dwarf). Its name comes from the Guarani word which means “small”. It is also called “Nanico”. Breeders were interested in Caturra's small size, which allows plants to be placed closer together, and its closely spaced secondary branches, which allow it to produce more fruit in the same space. The aroma of these grains seduces with a sweet scent of strawberry jam with floral nuances, complemented by a lingering aftertaste. The coffee impresses with its fruity acidity and soft, full body. This Winey processed Caturra from Nuevo Mundo invites you to savor the rich flavors of the Caribbean.

Good tasting !
